Dave - sorry for the lack of info.
What i mean is it looks like SD is backing up - no warning, no spinning wheel, nothing diiferent in the GUI - just the amount backup stays at 3% (after 8 hours). There is no change in the amount of space used on the destination drive (tho will try again tonight) I've been trying to B_UP from my log-in. Reading the release notes now at work it suggests logging out and rstarting, so as to not load various SWare. i do have office installed - could other installed software be the problem? I have Quicksilver running in the background but not much else.
