I have a hard disk that I back up to. YOu say it might be easier to back up to that but the point is I need portability at all times. Which is why I thought of the having two laptops which were in synch so that if one went down I had the other ready to use. However I am interested in what you suggest and would be grateful for more detail. Thanks
