Bootable External Hard Disk on PC?

Hi,

I backed up my entire Macintosh HD using SuperDuper's most recommended settings (all files, repair permissions, erase and copy etc).

I don't have a mac around me to use my external hard disk as the bootable drive. However there is a PC (Dell 2.6 GHZ, 500 GB HDD, 4 GB Ram, Windows Vista Home Basic). Is it possible to boot this Dell computer using my external hard disk and work Mac on this PC?

Please let me know if it is possible. I tried to connect the hard disk to this PC but it doesn't even show up on My Computer as though nothing got connected. Is that because of Mac OS Journalled format?

Thanks.
