Smile New SD user, Please Critique my Setup!

Hello all,

I am running a Vantec 3 (Sata to usb, firewire and esata) Enclosure,
with a 500GB WD HD. I have a partition of 40GB with a sandbox stationed on it.

It is indeed bootable via firewire!

Anyhow I have two such units for mine and my wife's imacs.

The second partition (425GB) I am storing sparse images, as I will end up having both my user data and my wife's data on both external drives.

(actually we are a bit paranoid right now because of a Disastrous HD Failure I have set-up a week 1week to 4week sparse image to update on a monthly bases)....I will wean down to bi-monthly Im sure ;o) )

note: I only drag and drop via network. ie: I would look for my wife's sparse image backup on her External Drive and pull it over the network. And visa-versa for mine

Any useful comments, or procedures would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
