If I were advising my customers re using SuperDuper for backups on the Mac side, I'd definitely recommend obtaining an external firewire drive (better consistent throughput than USB). Creating bootable clones, for example, is simple and reliable on a Mac. I'd take a look at the external drives offered by OtherWorldComputing. I've had good luck with Hitachi DeskStars and TravelStars for backing up my desktop and laptop systems.
On the new Intel Macs, I believe you can also make bootable backups to external USB drives. |
