SD! like utility for linux?

Just want to say that SD! is amazing. Use it for an Xserve and a few client computers...it works wonderfully!

Have a newly set up Linux machine (centOS) and was wondering if anyone here can suggest a utility (or set of utilities) that is similar in functioning to SD! Looks like there are lots of options, 'dd' 'rsync' etc.. Basically I want to have a boot-able cloned drive and to 'smart update' it every night. This possible? Any ideas are appreciated!

Cheers!
