How Long Should A Backup Take ?
I started "Backup - All Files"
Left for an hour. Came back to find only 40GB copies and another 40GB to go... Effective copy speed is 10.45MB/s I think it was much higher when I started the backup ? Is the backup slowing down ? Is something wrong ? Is 40GB/hour about right ? using V2.1 V77 MacBookPro 10.4.6 Lacie External Firewire drive (7200 RPM) BTW, great utility, I love it !!! |

That sounds about right to me, Dr. Blueberry -- I'd expect about 4-8MB/s for a PPC-based Mac, and 10-12MB/s on an Intel-based one.
