Thanks, Dave! Since I've heard that Mojave is somewhat buggy, and I very rarely use the require-password feature, I'll just live with the minor inconvenience until Mojave gets better. Except of course maybe "gets better" will include re-introducing the same problem ;-) .

I'm not sure Mojave is going to get a lot "better" than it is right now, since we're coming up fast on WWDC, and that's going to introduce 10.15...
