External SSD As Mac Mini Boot Drive: Cloning
I'm considering getting a Samsung T3 external SSD drive and using it as my Mac Mini boot drive. Its stock 5400rpm drive tops out at less than 90mb/s and at 4years old it is getting long in the tooth. I've seen speed tests where an external SSD connected to a USAP-capable Mac via USB 3.0 runs as much as 5X faster.
