New files : keyedobjects.nib
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any information regarding this file : keyedobjects.nib. It "appeared" on my "places" of my cloned drive after a backup. I also had a 10016.htm file. 1- What does it do? 2- Why is it there? 3- Is there any documentation why it is there? 4- Any other "new" file we should be aware of? thank you |

On your "places"? Not quite sure what you mean: keyedobjects.nib is a file that's usually stored in most applications' "bundles".

thanks for the prompt reply. Bear with as I am a new macuser... In the Finder window, left hand side you see from top to bottom "Device", "Places", "Search for" as a default setting. After the Cloning, I get two "new" files in the "Places" : keyedobjects.nib and a htm file. I was wondering why that was and if it was SD related. I can send you screenshots / files as needed. Nice product btw... itching to buy the full version! thanks again |

No need. The Finder likely stored aliases to two items that were either not present on the copy (and invisible on the source), or -- because the copy wasn't named the same as the original -- resolved to different files. You can just drag them out of Finder (which poofs them).

Thanks a heap. It is very satisfying to have such a good customer service despite not even having bought the product yet. Product btw, that is very easy to use and to install.
One last word tho, I did get the I/O problem with a Logitech USB mouse plugged in on my first backup. I needed a reinstall =/ |
