Updating to Leopard, couple questions.
Hi Dave,
I'm finally about to step up and upgrade to Leopard. Couple quick questions, I apologize if they're rather elementary. I searched the forum, but was unable to find what I was looking for. 1 - I haven't yet updated to the newest version of SD. Should I do this before or after I update my OS? 2 - I use some rather esoteric open source software that is "mission critical" - assuming I have proper backups of my current Tiger system, can I smart update BACK to those if the Leopard install fails? 3 - Any other tips or important wisdom to share before I upgrade? Thanks! |

1. Up to you.
2. Not quite sure what you mean. You mean, can you go back to Tiger? Yes -- just make a full backup before you move to Leopard and I'd suggest ejecting the backup drive and leaving it disconnected until you're sure you're OK. I'd Erase-then-copy back, too. 3. Nothing in particular!
