Looking to purchase a license, but I need to ask a question first!
Hi Everyone
I came across Super Duper on the Apple Discussion Forums, and now I'm looking to purchase a license, thanks to the carefully structured teaser feature-set business model! I want to make backups of my OS X partition. I used to use a PC and had everything very well organised, by which I mean having a tiny OS partition and keeping all media on separate drives. Now I'm on a Mac, I only have two partitions, one for OS X, and one for a combined Boot Camp / Parallels Windows XP OS. So, I want Super Duper to make images of the OS X partition (to an external USB hard drive), but to automatically exclude the Sites / Documents / Music / Movies folders, and I'm under the impression that I'll need to buy a license to do so - am I right? |

You're right: to exclude those files you'd need to create a copy script (see "Excluding files and folders from a backup" in the User's Guide), and that requires a license.
Of course, you get more than just that feature with your registration...
