Maxtor OneTouch 750mb won't backup
I'm trying to back my hard drive up to my external Maxtor drive. I'm seeing errors I've never seen before. Is there something obvious I'm missing. (Or more likely, what obvious thing am I missing?_
Here are the errors from the log: | 09:04:24 AM | Error | 2007-09-10 09:04:24.006 SDCopy[8012] CFLog (0): | 09:04:24 AM | Error | CFPropertyListCreateFromXMLData(): plist parse failed; the data is not proper UTF-8. The file name for this data could be: | 09:04:24 AM | Error | /Applications/SuperDuper!.app/Contents/Resources/Copy Scripts/Share developer tools.dset | 09:04:24 AM | Error | The parser will retry as in 10.2, but the problem should be corrected in the plist. Thanks! --Thom |

That's weird: it implies your copy of SD! is damaged. Try re-downloading and reinstalling, Thom.

Hm. Your OS might be damaged here, Thom. Have you tried an archive-and-install?

No, I haven't. Believe it or not, my source disks were burned up in a fire. I'm going to get Leopard whenever it comes out, though and replace it that way.
Maybe I'll take it up to the Apple store and have them do it. |

That might be a good idea!
