SATA enclosure for 2.5" drive?
I'm looking for a SATA enclosure for a 2.5" drive (specifically, the Seagate Momentus ST910021AS). I'm going to use it to back up my wife's new Macbook Pro, and I'd like it to be SATA because the laptop is SATA, and I want to be able to install the backup drive into the laptop if the laptop's drive fails.
I've looked at the OWC Mercury On-The-Go and the Wiebetech ComboGB, but they are both ATA/IDE enclosures. Is anyone making a SATA enclosure for 2.5" drives? |

I haven't seen any myself, but Wiebetech's SATA Dock would probably work. Or I'd give them a call and see what they have to say...

hard to find the enclosures; a few are advertised but none seem to be in stock. However, if you just want to do a one-time transfer, try this - it's a bare cable, but it could work (I say could because I haven't tried it. Mine is on order )

SATA 150 2.5" Enclosure INFOSAFE 2.5 SATA to USB 2.0 This is just the kind of thing that Froogle.com is great for. |
