New user advice...
Hi all, I'm new to imac and have just got my 24" system up and running.
It has a 500GB internal hard drive and I just purchased a WD 500GB USB2.0 External drive. Everywhere I look SuperDuper! is recommended so I've ended up here! My primary use is digital photography. My initial testing has been d/l the images from the CF card onto the internal HD and have lightroom reference them there. What is a "common" or "accepted" strategy to both a) have a bootable system back up and b) store my images. SHould I (how can I?) have partiioned my internal drive to some sort of system drive and a media drive (?), then would I (how do I) do the same on the External HD and clone both internal partitions? I'm totally new to all this, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Kindest Regards DWBell |
