Boot hang
This is a strange one. I was testing my backups and, for some reason I can't figure out, they won't boot fully. They get all the way to log-in, and after I type a password and hit enter, the log-in window disappears and the default desktop pattern is a where things stop. It is consistent for two seperate backups, one firewire and one e-sata. Since finding the problem, I have swichted off smart-update and performed an erase- and- backup, but the problem persists. I can boot from these backups in safe-mode but the problem returns with full boot. I don't have the problem on my original drive. I have run disk utility, repaired permissions, checked volume and tried unplugging other usb devices. Any ideas? Thanks.
