I'm in the middle of a Smart Update backup to an external FW disk. Things were going smoothly as usual, but the progress bar has now stopped, well, making progress just near the end of the back-up.

Is it safe to simply click "stop", and then start the Smart Update again? Or will this screw up the destination drive? It's supposed to be a bootable clone of my system.
