This is probably a really dumb question, but I dont want to ruin my backups.

I am backing up a 300gb drive to a 500gb drive with a 300gb sparseimage. I like superduper's smartupdate feature, which is why im using the images.

Anyway, after a night run of 9 hours, it still wasnt done. I had to go to work, so i pulled the power plug from the harddrive and it made a pinging noise (no...just kidding!!). Seriously though, I had to go to work, so i hit stop, properly ejected the mount and then the drive and shut my computer down to take with me.

My question is, is the integrity of my backup file going to be off because of this? does it need to be done in one sitting? what does stopping and starting do (cut files off? leave off and then pick up?).

Also whats the difference if i just dragged all the files over using a sync tool? i still trust super duper with my critical backups, but is it overkill for this task? also does it do anything different?
