You can actually back up just a folder. The restriction is that you can't Smart Update a folder that's part of another drive. But, putting just your Music folder on a backup and Smart Updating it is entirely possible with a copy script.

Just follow the general steps in the "Excluding files or folders from a backup" section of the User's Guide. Instead, of including "Backup - all files", use "Exclude all files". Add your Music folder to the 3rd tab and make sure the command is copy. The rest of the steps are the same...
