I am not sure if this will help, but I found a way to run an automator script on startup. It checks if there is a specific drive present before doing anything else, if it isn't it quits the workflow. If it is present (my USB drive), it starts up SuperDuper, then runs a script that basically enters e keystroke for enter/return which is the highlighted "Copy Now" default that SuperDuper opens to, and then hides the program. SuperDuper is set to quit when finished so it does all of this without interrupting me.

If you want the workflow I would be happy to send it to you. I am just trying to figure out how to get it to loop in case I don't have the drive plugged in but plug it in eventually and want it to backup then.
