My Macbook Air just suffered a complete meltdown (both logic board and hard drive are dead)
. I have a very current Time Machine backup (basically up to the last minute before the crash) but unfortunately my SuperDuper backup is more than a week old. I am looking for advice on the best and fastest restoration procedure. Shall I clone from SD and then manually restore the most current documents via Time Machine (quite a bit of stuff that accumulates in a course of the week and can I use the TimeMachine interface to look forward in time)? Alternatively, shall I transfer all the docs from the Time Machine backup after the fresh Mac OS installation via the migration assistant (and ignore my SD backup)? Any other options?
Thanks (and sorry for posting the 2nd question of the day).
