It's possible, of course -- we've had mixed results as well, which is why I don't generally recommend the drives. LaCie provided the "journaled" comment (which didn't make sense to me, but seemed to solve some users' problems).

It's possible that there are a number of different hardware revisions in the Porsche cases, too.

But, if people aren't running the most recent firmware, that's usually a good thing to try.
