I still have the Disk Image -- what other restore utility

Thanks for the fast response, and since I still have the Disk Image that I had created with SD, I would be willing to erase the HD again and Restore using a Utility that does not cause this "well...

I used Disk Utility for restore

I used Disk Utility for the Restore operation.
Probably just because I am not familiar with any alternatives to using Disk Utility for this procedure.
