It's just that seeing as I already experience unreliability, to add an extra level of redirection can only make matters worse.
It's probably just my Growl/SD set up somewhere, I'll take another look.

Yes, I use Growl, but I would like to ditch it in favor of Notifications Center. I have found the SuperDuper Growl interface a bit unreliable, I don't always get notified.

Working out the destination size of a backup

I do SuperDuper backups with various folders excluded. Short of actually doing a backup is there any way to get SuperDuper to tell me how much space it is going to need.
