Had this exact problem (all options grayed out) on my wife's iMac.
Did the delete and restart and now SuperDuper! is happy.

SD does not run as scheduled
I have SuperDuper! scheduled to run every night at 2300.
It has not run since last Saturday.
I think the problem has to do with the iPhone app: Remote. It lets you control iTunes.

9:30 PM versus 21:30 (or 2130)
I have my Mac set to 24-hour clock.
Yet, SD wants to run at 9:30 PM.
How do I set SD to run at 2130 and not at 9:30 PM?
I don't do AM PM.

Confused about the log file - ANSWERED
When I open the Log Window I see only the last time that I manually ran SuperDuper!. I don't the backup info from tonight's scheduled run.
Why is that? I would expect the log to show EVERY run of...

I booted from my FireWire drive "bootable backup" partition.

Use a virtual machine

I have VMware's Fusion on one iMac and Parallels on another.
Both work really well.
Both run Windows XP and Windows 2000 at 95% of the speed of using BootCamp.
I would recommend...

Family license would be good
I would like to see a Family license for one major and one minor reason.

Yes, it does backup every file every time.
And, no, you can not boot from the backup.
