It could be my usb bluetooth dongle, as that can play up sometimes.
I may have to face up to the fact that i am heading towards a format and reinstall at some point then!

Using the latest SD and OS X.4.8 , SD goes through its backup, and then it just locks up, and the hard drive light stays on constantly too, i have zeros the drive in question, and the drive in...
