After posting I found a thread that suggested...

After posting I found a thread that suggested using lsof to figure out what SuperDuper was doing.. sure enough.. a large file was being backed up.

I'm seeing the same thing

I'm seeing the same thing.. I am trying to back up to a disk image that resides on a disk mounted via AFP.. any suggestions would be appreciated.

WRT backing up from a .sparseimage.. the sparseimage file I was
thinking of using is formatted as a "Unix File System" rather...
