Q: where is log file?
Hello all,
im working on a script to be attached after scheduled backup, purpose of the script is to send a email to me after every backup and i would like to attach the log information to the email, if its located somewhere on the hd on a file it would be so easy to join on the message. So where is the log? I looked for Application support & Superduper but not in there, system logs seem to be old way of containing the information but as for last update, its not there anymore. I did found it on the schedule page so it must be on file somewhere :) Thanks, petteri |
Instead, have you considered using the Growl support to email you? If you install Growl, one of its actions is to email. It won't attach the log, but the notification will tell you if you have to look.
Otherwise, the log for a given set of settings (such as a single schedule) is inside the settings package (Control-click, "Show Package Contents") in the "Logs" folder. |

Thanks, ill try that one out :D |
OK so the log file is out there but is there a way to get it out so we could use it with the great app Geektool and have it displayed on the background ? Maybe an end of copy script ? As the log file name is incremented each time you juste can't point at it easily...
Thanks for your help, DarkskyZ |
