Hi. I made an exact copy of my Mac and have the update thing. but i was wondering if it could backup my computer like normal everyday and also be able to use the hard drive to save video that i edit. i dont want the video on my comp because it would take alot of space. so i was wondering how would i backup to my external but also use the external to save video. do i have to partition or whatever? please be easy on me for im having trouble trying to figure this out.

You can do that, but you need to partition the destination drive into two volumes, one for your backup and one for your video. See "Storing a backup alongside other files on a destination drive" in the User's Guide.
