Mobile Harddisc Recommendation
Hello again!
I wonder if you could be so nice to advice me on the following:I need a portable disc to backup/clone my MacBook in case of emergency. It also needs to be bootable in case of system crash. I am considering buying one of the following discs: http://www.westerndigital.com/en/pro...62&language=en The other option is to buy a http://www.emagictech.com.tw/fd6255-1.htm and put a 2.5' 160GB inside. This one also has Firewire. Is it possible to make a bootable backup on these discs even though it is a USB, and will both be able to perform as a boot disc even though they have no external power supply? I have to confess that I really like the former (WD-disc) I will of course use SuperDuper as backup. I appreciate any advice on the matter. Mako MacBook 10.4.8 (intel) |
Should be fine with an Intel Mac, Mako (although USB is slower than FireWire)...
