Automatic Mounting/Un-mounting Scheduled Backup Drive
I've been using SD! for many years but it is only recently with the ransomware threat that I want to have my backup drives/partitions mounted only when a backup is in progress.
Unfortunately, I've been unable to find the info on how the auto mounting/un-mounting works with a scheduled backup. I want to use a Samsung T3 SSD using a USB 3 adapter with a Thunderbolt port. I would also like the option of a second scheduled backup to a partition that lives on an external USB 3 drive. Mac OS Mojave in case it matters. . . I suspect that it is simpler than I expect because I can't find anything in the user's guide. |
There's not much to document: if the drive is not mounted, schedules will mount, copy and eject when done. It happens automatically.

OK, I will try some schedules!
(Thanks for the typical quick reply; I was waiting for an email notice re forum activity which never arrived for some reason. And then I forgot about my query. . .) |
