FAQ about smart update
 

I read the FAQ on SmartUpdate and was wondering if it is still up to date.

I was able to create a smart image with SD and then after the fact, select that file for a smart update. It seemed to work fine.

Then I read the FAQ about using SmartUpdate and find that I should have used the Disk Utility to create the image. Should I try again? Did my smart update give me a false sense of security?

No, that FAQ entry is for the 1.5.5 version of SD. 2.x added the ability to create an image with the SD! UI.
