can smart update be set to ignore a folder on the target HD ?

Hi Everyone

i tried to set up a scheduled clone using smart update and a copy script that listed a folder to be ignored. This folder is on the target HD, not the source. When i execute this scheduled copy, it deletes the folder that i asked it to ignore.

how can i do a smart update and not touch a specific folder on the target HD ?

thanks !!

Copy scripts select files from the source, not the destination. At present, the only user-acessible way to preserve files on the destination is by using a different copy method (eg Copy Newer or Copy Different).

Preferably, you should put things you want to preserve on a different partition...
