Replacing hard drive question

I have a Mac specialist from Apple care coming to replace my hard drive because it's malfunctioning.

He asked me to back up my hard drive. Is SuperDuper the right software for this? I'm running OSX 10. 4.11

Many thanks!

Assuming it's not malfunctioning to the point where the files can't be read, yes. You'll want to back up directly to a properly partitioned FireWire drive in most cases: please see the FAQ and the User's Guide.
