Saved settings and scheduled backups

I'm trying to understand how saved settings work with schedules. I have several different types of backups that I want to schedule, but I don't see how a schedule item is to be associated with a particular setting profile. I'm assuming that a schedule merely records dates and times and does not capture sources, destinations, and other options.

A schedule is a set of saved settings associated with an execution driver and times. So, if you have some settings that you schedule, those settings are copied to "Scheduled Copies" and are separate from the source. They contain the source, destination and all options.

Thanks for your quick response.

So when I schedule backup A, all currently selected options are part of the schedule. And if I then change the option settings in the main UI and schedule backup B, the altered settings will be part of the schedule for B, but will not affect A. Is this right?

Thanks again.

I should mention that my post was prompted by the fact that I have various shell scripts that I want to run at the end of different backups. It was unclear to me whether those preferences were being saved in each schedule.

Just as a suggestion, I think it would nice if the generated description for a schedule captured all of the options that had been set rather than just the date, time, and type of backup.

Thanks again.

Understood. Once you schedule a copy, it's entirely independent of the main window.

If you want to look at all the settings for a given backup, you can examine it by loading its settings from Scheduled Copies (using File > Load Settings).
