Please don't laugh . . . . .

I have used SuperDuper on my iMac since a Leopard version was available. Love it.

My wife has a Mac-Mini, and I downloaded the "free" version to her machine, and it works well there.

Question: Do I have to buy two (2) licenses for two machines, or can I use my first machine license on my wife's Mac?

I asked you not to laugh . . . . . . .

You need another license: your wife is a different person...

Actually, it's not a stupid question at all.
The license agreement (that displays when we mount the SD! disk image) does not seem to mention anything about the number of machines or users which a SD! license applies to.

Here is an interesting scenario:
My mom has an iBook which I maintain for her. I do all of the software updating and backing-up, etc. She never actually uses SD! herself because I perform her backups manually every few weeks.
Since I have my own license to SD! for my system, theoretically I could claim that my license apples to my use of SD! on her system...

(I haven't done that. She has her own registration for SD!.)

If you'd prefer, Timmy, we could write a really obnoxious license agreement that is super restrictive, rather than relying on our customers' sense of fairness and trying to be flexible...

It could be obnoxious and restrictive.
Or it could be obnoxious and un-restrictive.
But could it be restrictive without being obnoxious? ;)

How about you have to wear a t-shirt with a pocket if you want to be able to make backup copies of your drive. Huh, huh :D?
