How to copy files from external drive to internal drive?

Sorry if this is a really stupid question: I want to copy 'Newer' files from selected user folders on an external drive, to a comp's currently running internal drive. I've set the scripts up fine as far as I can see (exclude all, with certain selected folders set to copy), and I can select the Backup external drive from the tabbed options on the left, but the Macintosh_HD option in the righthand tab is greyed out.

Why might the internal drive be be greyed out, and is there anything I can do about it?

To answer my own question: I suspect SuperDuper is simply not designed for this type of operation. I've been playing around with AASync more recently, which is much more oriented towards basic user files, and can happily do a 'newer' style copy of user folders etc from the external HD to the comp's internal one.

Of course, if I'm wrong and SuperDuper can do the above without running from the external drive then someone please let me know.

We don't allow you to copy to a drive you're running from: it's too dangerous, given our overall focus...

That's what I figured, but thanks for confirming things. SuperDuper is still essential to me for backing up my Time Machine drive (via SmartUpdate too), and making reliable clones.
