Sandbox Partition - removal

When I purchased SD and bought a LaCie Drive, I divided my LaCie 500GB external drive into 2 partitions, the larger for my weekly SD clones and a smaller for Sandbox. I find I am not using the Sandbox partition and would like to be able to remove just that partition, allocating the entire LaCie Drive for my main SD backups.

Question: do I have to re-partition the entire drive? Or, could I use, maybe Disk Utility, to just remove the Sandbox partition thus giving me the access and capability to use the ENTIRE drive for my backups?

thx

You can try to just use Disk Utility to remove the partition. That will often work in Leopard and later.
