OS X Server 1.3.9?
I just downloaded SD to backup my OS X Server 10.3.9. I copied the app to the Applications folder, clicked on it, and poof, nothing happens.
It tries to start, the icon bounces a couple times in the dock, then it quits. Is this OS supported? I upgraded Retrospect only to find out that I needed to spend $500 to allow it work with "Server". If it is supported, what am I doing wrong. Drag, drop, click. What else is there? :( |
It's supported, survivor. But, there's something about your configuration that's causing startup to fail.
Could you open the Console, try it again, and see if any diagnostic is produced? |
Here's the error message
Ah. There is an error. :)
Unable to create directory username/Library/Application Support/Super Duper! I'll repair permissions first, then change them manually if I need to. I'll let you know what happens. |
OK!
So, ensure that Application Support is writable, and -- once fixed -- give it another shot, |
It Works!
I did and it does.
That's the fastest Customer Support I've ever gotten on a Sunday night. :D Thank you very much. Now go back to watching Desperate Housewives. ;) |
Glad to hear it, survivor -- we aim to please. (Though, sometimes, we need to sleep!)
