Superduper freezes at startup
1 Attachment(s)
When I start Superduper I get:
Unable to detect new versions. The last 7 attempts to check our servers for a new version have failed. ... and it goes on... The program then freezes and I have to use Force Quit to get out of it. I can't find any plist files to delete. I've reinstalled Superduper and get the same freeze. Any thoughts? |
Are you running any kind of firewall?

I've attached 2 files: Problem Report (Parts 1&2) - which is the report that could be sent to Apple after force quitting an app. Console Messages - output of console messages pertaining to Superduper when the application is run and freezes. I really don't know how to read these files. Maybe there's something in there that will point you to the problem. Thanks for the help. Hal |
Let's try this. Quit SuperDuper!, then remove the "Saved Settings" folder in Library/Application Support/SuperDuper!. Then, restart.

Thanks!!! That worked.
I had seen that folder but it "looked" empty so I just ignored it. Didn't think that it might be full of hidden files. Anyway, I'm back in business. |
Great -- glad you're working well again.
