Backing Up Media Using Super Duper (Labeling Drives with the Same Names?)

Hi Gang

I'm backing up Media for FCP

I just wanted to make sure about copying files and labeling the name of a Back Up Drive.

I was under the impression that it was a good idea to actually name the back up drive with the same name as the source drive? Or not?

I know you have to be real careful when using Super Duper, choosing the correct options, to avoid accidentally erasing the source drive files etc...

Thanx
Mike

No need to do that, no; it's only significant when starting up from a boot drive when the original drive is still attached.

'No need to do that, no"

No need to do what?

Should I then AVOID naming a back up drive with the same name as the source drive?

No, you don't have to AVOID it. But there's no need to do it for a drive that's not intended to be a startup drive, and this isn't.
