Disappearing Client View......netTunes
 
Using a G5 dual PP with OSX 10.4 as server running iTunes 8 with a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.4 and netTunes 2.3

When I launch netTunes, I see the server icon expand from the server list..... but it expands and disappears off of the screen of the MBPro - never to be found again! I have restarted both computers multiple times as well as opening and closing each application.

ding ding ding....just as I was writing this I realized I did not try the TRASH THE PREFERENCE technique
Well that worked, even without a restart. So what started out as a question now a post to share a possible fix for others who loose their client window.

1. Close netTunes on both computers. Just to be safe close itunes on the server computer

2. On the server computer, find the file: com.shirtpocket.netTunes.plist in the Preferences folder and move it to the Trash.

3. Open iTunes on the server computer

4. Open netTunes on the client computer....all should be well again.

This fix corrected my issue.

You should only have to do this to the client's preferences, actually...
