Failed to copy files
 

Hi,

I use SuperDuper 2.5 on a Mac PowerPC G5 running OSX 10.4.11

For months Smart Backup to an external drive named "Neptune" ran with no problems. Suddenly yesterday and today it failed to copy with the error message in the Log: "| Error | SDCopy: FTS_NS error for item: '/Volumes/Neptune' err: 6, Device not configured".

I had not changed any hardware or software since last Friday when the copy was successful.

Can anyone give me any tips as to what is happening and what I should do?

The Neptune drive either failed, was unplugged or was improperly ejected. Restart your Mac and this should clear up.
