Ok I’ll ask – Does netTunes work with iTunes 5?

It sure does. No changes are necessary for iTunes 5: works great.

(Note, though -- after it's installed, the first launch of iTunes 5 should be done "manually", as it requires acknowledgment of its license agreement on the local machine.)
