Sparseimage to Sparsebundle

I am using a sparseimage for backup, and have just read that for later versions of OS X it is better to use sparsebundle.
Is there an easy way to copy my current s-image to a s-bundle, or will it require a whole new restore from scratch?

There's no easy way I'm aware of, other than copying.
