I recently installed Acrobat 8 Pro and, for some reason, SD will not clone my drive. It fails every time. CCC also had the same problem. This is only since installing Acrobat 8. As lengthy as it is here is the log info:

Is there a work around? In CCC I excluded the Acrobat 8 application and the program still crashed. Is Adobe attempting to prevent any copying of their program?

Hi, Victor. Please see my reply to your emailed support request -- you need to repair your disk with Disk Utility.

Dave,

Thank you for your suggestion.... it did work. I would like to have tried Disk Warrior first to see if that also would have fixed the incorrect file. Maybe next time. This reconfirms to me that there should never be just one clone backup. I think that there should always be two at a minimum for complete safety. I have had nightmares about a backup starting only to be interrupted/crashed by whatever and then not only are you without the original but also the attempted/interrupted backup. The second backup would have saved the day. I will now, for sure, practice what I preach!

Thank you for your quick response.....

Victor
