Hi,
Probably a very easy question to answer. I've been doing the smart back-up using SuperDuper, which has been fine.
THe other day, I also got a load of files which were clogging up my original hard drive and dropped them into the drive. Again fine.

However, I did a back up yesterday, and now these files have gone - presumably overwritten. Seems a bit silly now!

So, in order to have a space to keep my back-ups and to have some stuff for random storage space - what should I do. Is it a question of creating a partition? If so, how do I do that on a Mac? If not, what's the best way?

Thanks - probably an easy question to answer!

Yes, create a partition -- using Disk Utility's "Partition" tab -- for your "archived" data, and one for your backup...
