Can I backup FAT-formatted drives?

I have a FAT16 formatted compact flash card from my psion pda, mounted with a card reader on my mac. Can I backup this with SuperDuper?
Apples disk utility lets me backup this drive, but SuperDuper does not see it. I cannot select it as source drive.

Best wishes
Jochen
