Partioning an external drive
Hi,
I'm interested in using the Sandbox feature. I have an iMac and a 1TB external hard drive. If I understand the User Guide correctly, I need to create a partition on the external hard drive. One part will hold a backup of the "Original" system, and the other part will hold the Sandbox. I'm tentatively planning to purchase a 2nd external hard drive to use as storage for my large iTunes library. To achieve redundancy with the iTunes library, I would like to create a backup of it on the 1st hard drive (i.e. the one holding the "Original" system backup and Sandbox). Maybe I'm lost, but does that mean I have to partition the 1st hard drive a second time, so that it's divided into three sections? In other words, one part of the drive will hold the iTunes library backup, a second part will hold the "Original" system backup, and a third part will hold the Sandbox...? Thanks, Mark. |
