Advanced - Copy ACLs ?

What is the function of ACLs under "Advanced" Copy ACLs from Macintosh HD?

It copies ACLs - Access Control Lists - an important part of Leopard's security. It's only adjustable because 10.4.11 server also uses ACLs but has some bugs which can sometimes be worked around by turning this option off.

Leave it checked.
